, initially, police told us they were looking for kim tolefree as well as a 1-year- old child, a girl. her name was -- her name is isaza tolefree. she was described as last wearing a pink shirt with blue bears holding anage and yellow blanket and kim tolefree was last seen wearing a plaid and beige coat, acid washed jeans. we're told the suspect was armed and dangerous. the twist -- and we just got done talking with oakland police and her daughters as well, we're told this may not be a child at all. it may be a case of domestic violence involving drugs. here's what one neighbor said. we don't that have sound right now. we're trying to sort out out the details. a cording -- sort the details. this 1-year-old girl, according had kim tolefree's daughters, the child does not exist. it may have been a matter of a domestic violence case with drugs. pline floor -- brian flores, ktvu channel 2 news. >>> we're following developing news out of turkey. a suicide bomber set off explosives killing himself and an embassy security guard. coming up at 7:15, what we are hearing about the group responsible

and the coast guard tells us that next week they'll release their findings and explanation as to why these two vessels crashed into each other. it was around 4:00 saturday afternoon when a 22-foot boat that was reportedly speeding collided with one of the golden gate ferries on its way to the ferry terminal here in san francisco. the crash took place in raccoon strait. a waterway south of tiburon near angel island. two people on that boat were flown to the hospital. one died yesterday. the other still recovering from their injuries. and you should be able to see in the video the front of the pleasure craft sustained the most damage. the windshield was crushed where the person was piloting that boat was standing. the boat did not sink. it was able to be towed away. the 500 people aboard the ferry, none were hurt. five crew members have been drug tested and placed on administrative leave which is typical when you have an accident like this. report be live at the ferry terminal in san francisco, bob redell, "today in the bay." >>> thanks, bob. >>> let's check in with christina loren here to tell

've been out there. give us an idea of what they're dealing with. >> it's really cold out there. water conditions right now 50 degrees in the water. what's really dangerous is the rough surf out there. we've got waves at 9.5 feet high and winds are driving the waves relentlessly. a small craft advisory in place which means it's dangerous for those smaller vessels to be out there on the water right now. however, the search from the air actually looking promising because we don't have fog to report this morning. that's the good news. nice and clear out there. the winds have been whipping all night long. the good news in this case is they'll start to drop off heading throughout the afternoon and then overnight tonight in particular. we still have a blustery day to get through. winds at 5 miles an hour in san jose. temperatures are cold to start. 43 in oakland. you want to layer up today. by noon you can peel off that first layer. only thing about today is temperatures are going to be comfortable. a little bit of wind. high clouds streaming in. that's it. just about as perfect as it was ye

"today in the bay's" bob redell joining us live from the berkeley police department with the latest on this ongoing investigation. bob, good morning. >> reporter: good morning to you, jon. police in berkeley need your help in finding the people behind this late-night assault. what makes this crime somewhat unusual is the fact that the suspects are three teenage girls. last friday night around 9:40, they attacked and attempted to rob two adult women on the edge of the cal campus on dwight way near prospect street. victims tell police as they were walking they tried to go past the three teens. one of those teens sprayed something in the face of one of the women, possibly pepper spray. the girls grabbed the second woman as they tried to run away, punched her in the face, knocked her to the ground, sprayed her and tried to rob her. a man who happened to be walking by stopped the robbery and scared the teens away. the women were hurt. police say suspects drove off in a white dodge charger and description of them is such that they are three african-american teenage girls.

at the scene. rob what do we know? the suspect had a gun, explosives and chemicals used to manufacture explosives inside this home on humboldt avenue, less than a block from santa clara high school. the front lawn, where some of those chemicals were blown up by the bomb squad, is now littered with blast- shielding sandbags as a hazardous materials team found still more suspicious materials inside the home as the search continued throughout the day. the contraband was discovered when a chp swat team served a search warrant based on threats allegedly made by everett basham against an elected public official. the chp, whose job it is to investigate such threats, would not divulge the nature of those threats, except to say the person threatened is a member of state government. >> it is unfortunate that he was sending in some many threats, it is unfortunate, a common theme. basham was armed with a loaded gun when he was arrested and his home has what looks like an elaborate security system with numerous surveillance cameras and various antennae arrays on the rooftop. >> the manufacturing of
